Facebook is the gateway to finding brooches and buying brooches that are unavailable or sold out. Everyday lots of people put up brooches for sale and you just might get lucky and find one you have been looking for. Therefore it’s important to know how to buy a brooch in these groups. You can do this many ways but here is the way I find easiest and safest.
You can learn more brooch tips and tricks here.
1. Comment sold
The first thing you need to do when you see a brooch you want to buy is to go to the comments and comment ‘SOLD’. Make sure you do not message them to say sold as this is against the rules in many groups. If you want this piece you may have to comment ‘sold’ fast though as there is a chance someone will beat you to it and you will miss out. If multiple brooches are being sold make sure you comment which brooch you are wanting to buy.
2. PM
Once this has happened, usually either you or the buyer will comment for you to send them a private message.
3. Sorting out the details
Now that you have sent them a Private Message the buyer may want to check which brooch you are wanting to buy and the total cost with postage. If you have any questions about the brooch, such as wanting another photo of a scratch or a close up make sure you ask now.
4. Payment
Now you can ask them for their email address for PayPal. Make sure you are using PayPal for your safety. If the buyer does not want to use PayPal make sure you do NOT send them any money as it is a high chance it’s a scam.

Once you have paid make sure you take a screen shot and sent it to the seller on Facebook.
5. Address
Now that you have paid you can send the seller your address. Make sure you ask the seller for the tracking information once they have sent the brooch.
Now you have finished and just have to wait for the brooch to arrive!
